Greater Cape Town

From the top of one of the most renowned landfalls on Earth, Table Mountain, the sweeping views across the bay to the iconic Robben Island are picture-perfect. A day trip takes you from the vibrancy of the V&A Waterfront, along Chapman’s Peak and its dramatic stretch of coastline with vistas to the horizon, down the peninsula to the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the southwestern-most tip of the African continent. This City, with its mild Mediterranean climate and world-famous winelands of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, make it a year-round popular destination for beach lovers, gourmets and wine enthusiasts.

Whale Coast

Cape Town’s Whale Coast, with the heart of its route in the beautiful town of Hermanus, is just a 90-minute spectacularly scenic coastal drive from Cape Town. It is famous for some of the best whale-watching spots in the world (July – November). A visit to this splendid fynbos region, with its dramatic mountain landscapes and incredible sea views, quirky village stops and great art routes along the way, begs an overnight stay in one of the pretty fishing villages

R62/Karoo

When you’re done with the main tourist routes and the must-see landmarks, take a leisurely drive along the R62. Famed for being the “longest wine route in the world”, this slow and winding route, with its friendly, welcoming folk, and little fairy tale villages, will take you far away from the madding crowds and simply charm you. Your journey will take you through the craggy mountain passes of the Swartberg, past superb wine farms and gourmet food stalls, all the way to … Ronnie’s Sex Shop and the start of the Klein Karoo.

Garden Route

The majestic Outeniqua range of mountains accompanies you on your travels along the world-famous Garden Route; a magical and spectacular journey of some 300 km. Take the coast road through the beautiful beach towns of Wilderness, George and Knysna, all the way to Plettenberg Bay, or go off the beaten track and traverse the magnificent Seven Passes Road with its luxuriant primeval high forests and masses of shrubbery and wildflowers, justifiably earning the Garden Route its special name.

Eastern Cape safari destination/Addo

Why not combine your Garden Route tour with a visit to the Big 5 safari area of the Eastern Cape: Addo Elephant National Park and its many malaria free private game reserves. Just a short trip from the Garden Route, you can experience a big game safari in the beautiful rugged, wild and diverse scenery of the Eastern Cape. If you want to see the Big 5 we would suggest staying at one of our hand-picked luxurious private game lodges.

Northern Kwazulu Natal

The North Coast of KwaZulu Natal is a 280 km stretch of majestically beautiful coastline starting to the north of Durban and stretching to Africa’s largest, and globally one of the most important, estuarine systems, the St Lucia Wetlands, home to crocodiles and large herds of hippo. This lush and verdant coast owes its beauty to the temperate climate arising from the warm lazy waters of the Indian Ocean. Here dolphins show off and surfers ride dream waves in close proximity to the best in big game viewing. The famous Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Parks are hugely popular with international tourists.

Kruger National Park

Feel alive in the very heart of Africa as you watch the fiery sun go down to the distant roar of lions in the night. This is the Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected game reserves. Home to the Big 5, lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, a visit to the Kruger is a soul-restoring and mind-rejuvenating destination. Situated in the north-eastern region of South Africa, this 19,485 km2 National Park, is one of Africa’s largest protected game reserves.

Victoria Falls

Starting its journey in a small grove of trees on the borders of Zaire, and meandering some 1300 km across the wooden plateau of Zambia, the Victoria Falls literally thunders down into the mighty Zambezi Gorge. This 1688 metre-wide giant curtain of falls, the largest cascade volume in the world, is surrounded by riverine forest nurtured by the rising mist, tropical trees and rainbows, and needs to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

Botswana

From the mysterious water world of The Okavango Delta, to the Central Kalahai Game Reserve and the remote stark beauty of the Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana will weave its spell on you. The Chobe Game Reserve is yet another jewel in its dazzling array. For a completely alternative experience, you can cruise down the Chobe river and, from the comfort of your boat, have an astonishing animal-filled water safari experience as the elephants make their way to the water’s edge, hippos wallow in the mud and lazy crocodiles float by with their crooked smiles and chilling stares.

Namibia

Namibia is a land of sheer and vivid contrasts, shadows and lights. Fertility confronts the harshest aridity across its magical plains. A strange contrast exists between the cold, mist-laden waters of the South Atlantic thundering on the shores of one of the most arid deserts in the world. It’s a gigantic feeling. Dramatic orange dunes appear to rise up from the ocean and you could be forgiven for thinking you had perhaps landed on another planet. Namibia will fill your heart and soul with its other-worldly grace. From the north to the south, its widespread vastness and silence is overwhelmingly and hauntingly beautiful.
